Working Hard to Show What We Know!

Elementary Drama is on Thursdays this year at 2pm. Students in K-5 are welcome to participate, and they may either be picked up at 2:45pm in the Great Hall, or go home on the bus that leaves at 2:50pm. This year the drama students will be doing the speaking parts for the Christmas concert, so please be at practice on Thursday!

Kindergarten Homework:

*Practice sounds every night and tricky words (be, was)
*Return homework duotang and game by Friday.

*Library books are due back by Monday.

*Read a book every night and record in reading log..

Grade One Homework:
*Practice spelling words for test on Friday (when, her, my, but, look, nest, west, best, test, rest)

*Finish homework duotang and game by Friday.
*Library books are due back by Monday.
*Read a book every night and record in reading log.


Upcoming Events:
*Show and Tell on November 21 at 10:50 am
*Assembly at 11am on November 27th.
*Pink Week November 25-28
*Report Cards come home November 25th or 26th
*Parent-Teacher Interviews November 28 6-8pm and November 29 9-11am.

Daily Five is well under way...

Two of the favorite parts of Daily Five are Listen to Reading and Word Work.










Elementary Drama is on Thursdays this year at 2pm. Students in K-5 are welcome to participate, and they may either be picked up at 2:45pm in the Great Hall, or go home on the bus that leaves at 2:50pm. *Practice sounds every night and tricky words (me, we)
*Return homework duotang and game by Friday.

*Library books are due back by Monday.

*We have started Guided Reading this week, so your child will bring home a book either Wednesday or Thursday to read to you. Please record the title in their reading log, and send it back the next day. If you feel your child is ready to take a book home every night, just let me know (some kindergarten students are already doing this).

*Welcome to Kindergarten meeting and activities for children on November 14th from 6-7pm (if you know someone who has a child coming to kindergarten next year, please encourage them to come to the school office and register their child)

*The Mill Rats visit our school on November 6th and are providing a basketball camp after school.
*Curriculum Night on November 6th from 6-7pm.
*Remembrance Day service for students on November 8th.
