Drama Performance

The Littlest Christmas Tree

Thank you to all who supported Elementary Drama this fall, and who came to our performance! The students did a great job!

We will have try-outs for a bigger spring play after Christmas.

Farewell and Congratulations to Ms. Ells!

Today was Ms. Ells last official day in our classroom. She has now completed all of her training and courses to become a teacher, and just needs to wait for the final paper work to come through! We will miss her, and wish her lots of luck in finding a job and a class of her own to teach. In the meantime, she will be back to visit and supply teach.

Look who we found again today on our way to gym class!

Today we practiced on the stage with Mrs. Tate playing the piano for the first time. The Concert should be pretty cute on Tuesday!

Halloween is Coming!

We were all excited to welcome Beau back to our class today! He is going to come for just half days for a little while until he builds up his stamina.

The bus changes seemed to go okay today for the most part (except for poor Peyton and a few others who didn't get picked up), although the busses were here earlier than expected. Hopefully in a couple of days all of the bugs will be worked out and we will have a schedule we can keep for the rest of the year.

Don't forget if you know your child will not be at school to send a note in the agenda (if you know ahead of time) or to call the school at 662-7000. You could also text me at 321-5604 or send a Facebook private message.

Kindergarten is Fun!

We are continuing to learn our Jolly Phonics sounds. Each night (4 days a week), students will bring home their sounds duotang and book. Please just take a couple of minutes each night and have your child tell you the sounds in the books (both using the picture clue in the duotang, and using just the letter in the half scribbler). This is also a good time to review the names of the letters as well.

This week we are also practicing safety procedures in our school. By the end of the week we will have practiced a Fire Drill, Lockdown Drill and Evacuation Drill, so don't be surprised if the students come home with lots of stories.

Upcoming Events:
*Wear the color on the calendar each day this month.
*Terry Fox Run at school on Friday, Sept. 23rd. If you have paid your $20 student fee, this includes a dollar for the Terry Fox run. If you would like to send more you may, but you certainly don't have to.
*Happy Birthday to Connor on Saturday, Sept. 24th.
*Show and Tell on Thursday, Sept. 29th at 1:20pm.
*Assembly on Sept. 30th at 1:20pm (our class will be performing a couple of poems) and wear Blue and Gold (the whole school).
