Visiting the Whale Research Center and Pettes Cove Beach

On June 9th, we visited the Whale Research Center and Pettes Cove Beach with our reading buddies from Ms. Cogswell's grade 10 class. We had a wonderful time, and collected lots of interesting "stuff" from the beach!

Kindergarten Orientation Day

Thanks to all the boys and girls who came to school today.

We colored a picture of a bus and printed our names.

We went for a drive on a bus!

We played with some of the toys.

We toured the school and visited the principal, Mr. Lloyd.

We ate lunch in the cafeteria.

Then we went out to the playground again. What fun!

June Fun Continues!

*No homework folder this week, but please keep reading every night, and practice tricky words and sounds at least a couple of times each week.

*Tuesday will be kindergarten orientation day for next year's kindergarten kids, so remember that our current kindergarten kids stay home on Tuesday.

*Wednesday, K Jones and our reading buddies will be travelling to North Head to visit the Whale Research Center and to collect some shells and other interesting things on Pettes Cove Beach.

*Friday we will have show and tell.

Upcoming Events:
*K-2 Field Trip to Just Play Indoor Playground and Cafe in Saint John on June 16th. Please send in your permission slip and $12 ASAP.
*Bike Rodeo on June 18th.
*Graduation on June 23rd. K-8 will dismiss at 10:30 so that staff can attend graduation.
*Last day for students is on June 25th (half day).
