Spring Carnival
Tomorrow, May 25th, starts Spring Carnival Week! 🎉🎪🎡 See below for details...
Monday: Twin Day!
Tuesday: Superhero Day!
Wednesday: Jersey Day!
Thursday: Neon Day!
Friday: Hat Day!
The Golden Breaker Awards will be on Wednesday, May 27 @ 6:30pm! $2 admission. Also, there will be a Silent Dessert Auction. Five students from our class have been nominated!
The Rave dance is Thursday, May 29!
K-2: 6pm-6:45pm
3-5: 6:45pm-7:30pm
MS: 7:30pm-8:30pm
HS: 9pm-10:00pm
$5 admission.
Face painting, and glow merchandise on sale!
The best day of the year, Carnival Day is on Friday, May 29!! We will have the Glow Promotions inflatables, a movie, and a BBQ!
Homework:
*Finish homework duotang by Friday. Last homework duotang of the year!
*Read a book and practice tricky words each night.
*Complete "Homework Writing" each night (some students will finish all the lists this week).
*Return library book Monday.
Last book order of the year is due this week. Don't forget to use your free book coupon if you haven't already!

Another Busy Week!
Today we had a visit from a special guest, Laurie Murison, to talk to us about whales and other sea creatures which live in the Bay of Fundy.
This week is Salad Dressing Week, and students are encouraged to dress up each day to represent a certain salad dressing. Remember this is all just for fun though, so if your child does not want to dress up, that is okay too.
Monday: French Dressing (dress like you are from France)
Tuesday: 1000 Islands (dress like you are from an island- grass skirts, leis, etc.)
Wednesday: Ceasar Dressing (togas, etc.)
Thursday: Ranch Dressing (cowboy attire)
Friday: House Dressing (wear blue and gold)

*May 21st: Show and Tell at 12:30pm

Country Western Week
This week is Country Western Week! We will be having dress up days, noon hour activities, and a dance.
Monday: Bandana Day
Tuesday: Plaid Day
Wednesday: Denim Day and Dance (K-2: 6pm, 3-5: 6:45pm, MS: 7:30pm, HS: 9:00pm)
Thursday: Cowboy/Cowgirl Day
Remember there is no school for students on Friday, May 1st (Subject Council Day - teachers are travelling to sessions in Fredericton, Moncton or Sackville) and Monday, May 4th (our annual general meeting of the Grand Manan Teachers' Association). The whole province has subject council on Friday, and the whole St. Stephen Education Center has their AGMs on Monday.

*Read a book each night and record in reading log.
*Complete "Homework Writing" each night.
