Fall into Fitness

Thank you to all who came out tonight to our Fall into Fitness event for K-5. We had over 80 students and parents in attendance, and everyone seemed to have a great time! We will plan another fun family event in the spring. Hope you can join us!

Can't believe it's November already!

 

We had a fun time with Science East this morning learning about our Five Senses!

 

Homework:

*Practice sounds and tricky words every night: I, the

*Bring Library book back by Monday.

*We are starting Guided Reading this week, so one day this week your child will bring a book home to read to you. After the child reads the book, please record the date and title in their reading log, and send everything back the next day.

*Parent-Teacher Interviews on November 26th from 6-8pm and November 27th from 9-11am. PD in the afternoon of November 27th, so no school for students.

 We had a very fun Halloween Day at school - reading buddies, costumes, centers in the five classrooms, treats and an assembly!

*Practice printing your name with just the first letter uppercase, and the rest lowercase. Some students are still having difficulty with this. Each child should also be able to spell his or her name orally.

Class Pet

We have stick bugs as our class pet. Right now we have one big one and one baby one, and a few eggs. They look just like a stick when they stay still, and their feet stick to whatever they are climbing on. They eat romaine lettuce.
