Halloween Fun!

Happy Halloween!

Elementary Drama is on Thursdays this year at 2pm. Students in K-5 are welcome to participate, and they may either be picked up at 2:45pm in the Great Hall, or go home on the bus that leaves at 2:50pm.

Kindergarten Homework:
*Practice sounds every night and tricky words (I, the)
*Return homework duotang by Friday.
*Library books are due back by Monday.*We have started Guided Reading this week, so your child will bring home a book either Wednesday or Thursday to read to you. Please record the title in their reading log, and send it back the next day. If you feel your child is ready to take a book home every night, just let me know (some kindergarten students are already doing this).

Grade One Homework:
*Practice spelling words for test on Wednesday (said, from, of, knit, spin, cop, mop, hop, top, stop)
*Finish homework duotang by Friday.
*Library books are due back by Monday.
*Read a book every night and record in reading log.

Upcoming Events:*Assembly on October 30th at 11:00am
*Visit the Nursing Home on October 31st and Halloween activities in the classes in the afternoon (bring costume to school)
*The Mill Rats visit our school on November 6th and are providing a basketball camp after school.
*Curriculum Night on November 6th from 6-7pm.
*Remembrance Day service for students on November 8th.
*Remembrance Day on November 11th (no school)
*Welcome to Kindergarten meeting and activities for children on November 14th from 6-7pm (if you know someone who has a child coming to kindergarten next year, please encourage them to come to the school office and register their child)
